Advisory for Re-Entry to Japan

         Japan has put additional measures to contain the spread of Coronavirus which are applicable to all the arriving passengers in Japan from India, including Japanese nationals and foreign nationals with status of residence. From May 28, 2021, a mandatory 10 (ten) day institutional quarantine at the designated accommodation has been put in place. The accommodation will be identified and provided by the Japanese quarantine office, and it will be a part of the total 14 day quarantine. All arriving passengers will be escorted to the accommodation.  

         Passengers are required to remain in such accommodation for 10 days. Meeting persons from outside is nor permitted. Those staying in these facilities will undergo Covid-19 tests on the third, sixth and tenth days of entry into Japan. Those who test negative will be required to self quarantine at home for the remaining 4 days. They should not use public transportation from the airport.
