Premiere of PK

The Embassy of India, Tokyo in collaboration with the Nikkatsu Corporation, Japan, had organized a premiere of the popular Bollywood movie "PK", from 1430hrs on 28 July, 2016 at the VCC Auditorium. After a successful run worldwide including in East Asia, the film PK is scheduled to be released in Japan in October 2016.

Ambassador of India, H.E. Sujan R. Chinoy made the opening remarks at the event. He spoke about the immense opportunities available for the Indian films in Japan that is yet to be explored. Further he expressed that 'Films are a special contemporary addition to our cultural exchanges and represent the best of India's soft power'

Mr. Rajkumar Hirani, the 4 time National Award winning Director of the movie PK who is in Japan for the promotion of the film spoke at the event followed by a press interaction. Famous Japanese film Director Mr. Takashi Yamazaki and Japanese actress Ms. Rei Dan also attended premiere event and shared their experiences about the film. Later, the film with Japanese subtitles was screened at the VCC Auditorium from 1500hrs.
