          The Government of India and Government of Japan have decided to celebrate year 2027 as the India-Japan Year of Shared Horizons, commemorating the 75th Anniversary of India-Japan Diplomatic Relations.

          The Embassy of India in Japan invites all stakeholders and well-wishers in India and Japan to participate in a special Logo Competition. We welcome creative and meaningful designs that capture the essence of this enduring Special Strategic & Global Partnership.

Specifications for Logo

          Quality: Minimum 300 DPI

          Size: Less than 3 MB

Resolution:

          For Vertical layout (Portrait): 160px x 160px

          For Horizontal layout (Landscape): 250px x 150 px

          Format: PNG/SVG/EPS/JPEG file

          (Formatting changes may be requested if found necessary.)

Terms and conditions

  • Citizens of India and Citizens of Japan may apply regardless of age and place of current residence. OCI/PIO card holders currently resident in Japan may also apply.
  • The logo should signify year 2027 as the India-Japan Year of Shared Horizons celebrating 75 years of the establishment of India-Japan Diplomatic Relationship, and serve as a brand for year long celebrations.
  • The logo should be original, and once selected, all rights to the copyright of the selected entry shall belong to the Government of India and Government of Japan free of charge, and will be protected by relevant laws. The logo may not be reproduced, distributed, or transmitted in any form-including photocopying or electronic methods-without prior written permission from the Government of India and Government of Japan.
  • The entries should not contain any offensive or provocative content. They should not be culturally or socially insensitive.
  • The submitted logo should not have been published before in any format including digital platform, print etc.
  • Entries should not contain content that is for commercial purposes.
  • Candidates need to provide a declaration that the logo is original and does not infringe any copyright.
  • The submissions should not be designed using generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) as they may lead to copyright infringement issues.
  • Plagiarism of any kind will not be acceptable.

Submission of logo design

  • Only one entry from one participant will be accepted.
  • The logo design should be submitted in both colored as well as black-and-white versions.
  • No submitted logo designs or materials will be returned.
  • A brief description/explanation of the logo should be provided in about 80 words. When the selected logo is announced, the explanation will be made public.
  • Receipt of submissions will NOT be acknowledged, and authors of designs not selected will not be contacted.
  • Decision of the selection committee shall be final, and no queries in this regard will be entertained. No inquiries concerning the judgment process will be accepted.
  • Announcement of Results: Results are scheduled to be announced simultaneously by both governments in early December (subject to change).
  • The winning logo design may be subject to any edits, alterations or processing necessary for use. In the event the logo is found to be unsatisfactory after the selection process, or if agreement cannot be reached as to revisions to the logo, the selected design will be withdrawn from use.
  • The winning logo design may be withdrawn from use if any information submitted with the design is later determined to be false.
  • The designer of the winning design will NOT receive any prize, monetary award, or other form of compensation. The name and affiliation of the designer will be announced together with the winning logo design, with the designer’s consent.
  • All rights to submitted designs and the copyright to the winning logo design will belong to the Ministry of External Affairs of India and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. Those submitting designs agree to relinquish all rights and interests in the designs.
  • The winning logo design in its final form will be distributed to parties authorized by the Ministry of External Affairs of India and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and will be used in conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Japan.
  • Entries received by post will NOT be accepted.
  • Submit your logo along with the Application Form (Click Link) to attpol.tokyo@mea.gov.in on or before September 15, 2026, 17:30 hrs JST.
