  India and Japan today took a major step forward by concluding the Participation Contract for Osaka Expo 2025 in Tokyo. The document was signed by Mr. Pradeep Singh Kharola, CMD, India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) and Commissioner General of India Pavilion and H. E. Mr. Koji Haneda, Commissioner General of Expo 2025 Osaka at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in the presence of the Ambassador of India to Japan, H. E. Mr. Sibi George and Consul General of India in Osaka-Kobe, Mr. Nikhilesh Giri.

Scheduled to take place from 13 April to 13 October 2025, the Expo is set to attract millions of visitors from around the world, providing a platform for countries to exchange ideas, collaborate on solutions to global challenges, and celebrate cultural diversity. By joining hands with nations across the globe, India aims to contribute to the Expo's theme of "Designing Future Society for Our Lives."

Through its pavilion, India will showcase its rapid strides in the fields of economy, science & technology, space research, digital transformation, sustainable development and circular and green economy, besides its rich and varied cultural heritage, highlighting the nation's rich history, dynamic present, and promising future of Vikasit Bharat.

Visitors to the India Pavilion will enjoy immersive experiences and witness interactive exhibits and insightful presentations that reflect India's spirit of innovation and inclusivity.
