Independence Day Celebrations at Indian Embassy, Tokyo.

The 70th Independence Day was celebrated at the Embassy of India, Tokyo from 9 am. Ambassador of India, H.E. Sujan R. Chinoy unfurled the national flag, followed by the singing of the national anthem. Hon’ble Ambassador addressed the gathering and read out the President of India’s address to the Nation on the eve of the 70th Independence Day of India. A short film, highlighting the key initiatives and programmes of the Government of India was shown to those gathered. Students of Global Indian International School (GIIS) sang a song dedicated to the armed forces of our motherland titled “Aarambh. Then students of Indian International School in Japan (IISJ), Tokyo presented a patriotic song titled 'Taqat watan ki ham se hai'. This was followed by some light refreshments.
