VCC Classes 
Registration for VCC classes 

The Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Embassy of India, Tokyo, holds regular classes for registered VCC students on a variety of subjects including Yoga, Ayurveda, Tabla, Contemporary Indian Dance (Indian Movie Dance), Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Hindi Language.

(Note: VCC has two semesters each year for all classes for the duration of January to June and July to December respectively. Student registrations for interested individuals are conducted during May and December each year. Applications are only accepted during the designated registration period. Please continue to check our website for further updates and/or send your name and e-mail address to vcc.tokyo@mea.gov.in to subscribe to our mailing list which will provide you with information and updates about events at the Embassy.)

New Students :
(Students who have never registered with VCC before OR returning students with a gap of 1 semester or more. Please note that Continuing Students are NOT eligible to register as New Students by paying the JPY 5,000 registration fee.)

Continuing Students:
(Students who had registered for one or more VCC classes during the preceding semester. Please note that this also applies to students who are changing from one class to another.)

Yoga, Tabla and Odissi have 2 types of classes 
1 lesson/week and 2 lessons/week

N.B. Class categories, fees and/or content may change without notice.


Registration is on first-come-first-served basis due to limited availability. 
Application by-post or email will NOT be accepted.
Fees are not refundable. 
First-time students will be given priority. 

Schedule of Registration

New Students: 25 November to 29 November 2019 & 9 to 13 December, 2020

Continuing Students: 9 to 13 December, 2019

Monday - Friday
1000 - 1200 hrs and 1400 - 1700 hrs 
(Note: In case that the applicant cannot come for registration, a representative may submit the required documents and 1 application form. Special consideration may be given for multiple proxy applications by immediate family members/legal guardians/teachers at the sole discretion of the Embassy. In this case, advanced consultation with the Embassy is required.) 
* Crowding is expected on 25th November and 9th December in particular. Waiting times may be up to several hours in some cases. New students are advised to complete their registration during the first week.:
