Yoga in Japan
Vivekananda Cultural Centre (VCC) has been offering classes on Yoga and other Indian subjects since September 2009. Six months long courses are offered at VCC which start in the month of January and July every year. About 2,200 students have enrolled and learned Yoga at VCC since year 2010. Current session has 256 students.
2. Yoga classes are taken by a very highly qualified Yoga Teacher sent by Indian Council for Cultural Relations. VCC conducts five Yoga class everyday three before lunch and two after lunch including two morning class on Saturdays. Each class is an hour long and students have an option either to join once a week or twice a week course.
3. VCC also organizes free Yoga workshops as our effort to reach out to the Japanese friends.
